We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team and support the Director of Finance in maintaining the financial health of the company (brokerage).

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in the finance team by assisting with financial analysis, reporting, and accounting activities. The successful candidate will provide valuable insights and support the finance team in driving financial performance and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
   • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
   • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations.
   • Support the development of financial models to inform business decisions.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
   • Help update financial forecasts based on actual performance and changes in assumptions.
   • Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for discrepancies.
3. Accounting Support:
   • Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
   • Help ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and local financial regulations.
   • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
4. Financial Operations:
   • Assist in cash flow management and forecasting.
   • Support the maintenance of financial records and documentation.
5. Support for Strategic Initiatives:
   • Provide analytical support for special projects and strategic initiatives.
   • Participate in M&A activities, including financial due diligence.
6. Team Collaboration:
   • Work closely with other members of the finance team and cross-functional departments.
   • Contribute to a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English is a must; proficiency in any additional language is an asset.
