Location: London – hybrid

24 months contract.  £35.000-£45.000 depending on experience and negotiable.  40 hours per week; if requested, you may work on weekend or in the evening or such hours as may be mutually agreed. Any extra working hours are paid at a rate of £21.63 per hour and for any business trips you will be entitled to £100 gross.

Our client is an established and multi awarded event planner willing to expand in the UK. Our client’s expertise and knowledge of the luxury world has been recognised on numerous occasions, ranking their expertise in the top 10 best wedding event planner in Italy.

A fantastic opportunity to join a brand new team and grow within the role – within a year time you may manage your own team! Experience in luxury weddings is preferable, however our client is also interested in people with experience in Gala Dinner, Private Parties, Corporate Events, Brand Events.

Your main location will be London, however there will be events held in the UK as well as abroad so you must be able to travel.

Requirements 

  • 4/5 years’ experience as an Event Manager
  • A strong and friendly personality
  • Have a keen eye for detail and an analytical mind
  • Express a warm and friendly disposition
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team – the team will be mainly based abroad
  • A good communicator with an enterpreneur mindset
  • Candidates must be eligible to work full-time in the UK
  • Knowledge of additional languages is preferable e.g. Arabic, Italian, French, Spanish

Responsibilities 

  • Provide excellent planning and on-the-day service in an efficient but warm manner
  • Be able to work closely with our clients to ascertain their individual needs and effectively document the outcome
  • Provide clear communication to internal teams
  • Lead the freelancing Team and provide support
  • Deputise for the company directors when appropriate
  • Look for ways to meet individual client needs and to exceed guest expectation
  • Billing, invoicing and ability to asses financial performance
  • Some facility management tasks

Holidays: 28 days per annum, including bank holidays.

You will also be entitled to a commission for each client introduced to the company as well as a discretionary annual bonus based on the turnover generated by you.
