An established and highly regarded boutique tax practice in Central London is looking to recruit an experienced, Italian-speaking Senior  /Accounting Manager to join its growing team.

The firm provides a comprehensive range of taxation and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients, including Italian-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, international groups.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant with a strong general practice background to join a professional yet entrepreneurial environment, working closely with the Partners and taking responsibility for a varied client portfolio.

The successful candidate will play an important role in the day-to-day delivery of accounting and compliance services, building trusted client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for the preparation and review of statutory accounts and financial statements.
• Oversee the preparation of management accounts, bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• Prepare and review corporation tax computations and liaise with the tax team on relevant matters.
• Support the preparation of personal tax returns and other compliance assignments where required.
• Ensure clients meet their statutory and HMRC filing obligations and deadlines.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, responding to accounting and financial queries and providing practical guidance.
• Liaise with HMRC, Companies House and other relevant authorities.
• Work closely with the Partners and colleagues across the accounting and tax teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance client service and develop additional services for existing clients.
• Support and review the work of junior team members where appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 10 years’ relevant professional experience, predominantly gained within an accountancy practice.
• Strong general practice accounting experience, with the ability to manage a portfolio of clients independently.
• Solid technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and statutory accounts preparation.
• Experience with corporation tax, VAT and personal tax compliance.
• A good understanding of UK company and statutory reporting requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in dealing directly with clients and Partners.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work autonomously within a small, collaborative team.
• Fluency in both Italian and English (essential).

ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualifications would be highly desirable.

Experience working with Italian-owned businesses, international clients or cross-border UK–Italy matters would be an advantage.
