Head of Financial Reporting & FP&A

Job Description: Head of Financial Reporting & FP&A (this is an urgent role, starting date ASAP and by July 2025). 

Location: Milan – Italy (onsite 4 days a week, 1 remote)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Financial Reporting & FP&A to join our team and lead our financial operations to new heights.

Please note your English must be fluent and you must have past experience in big 4. 

The Head of Financial Reporting & FP&A  will be responsible for the overall financial health of the company. This role will oversee all financial activities, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reporting and compliance. The successful candidate will provide strategic financial insights to the executive team and drive financial initiatives that support the company’s growth and profitability goals. Additionally, this role will have the unique opportunity to build and oversee a brand new finance team and manage legal entities in multiple jurisdictions.

We are looking for someone fluent in English: as part of your job, you will be managing an international team (some people only speaks English); you will also liaise on a weekly basis with external consultants, based outside Italy.

The ideal candidate will be able to start ASAP and by July 2025, the latest.

You will be in charge of the following areas:

• Financial planning and auditing
• Oversee group accounting and local statutory needs in multiple jurisdictions
• Tax analysis
• Working closely with the Treasury team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 4-5 years in a leadership role.
• Big 4 training is seen as a significant asset
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles e.g. GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
• Experience managing legal entities in multiple jurisdictions.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Superior communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluency in English is a must; proficiency in any additional language is an asset.
