Job Title: Sales & Marketing Manager (Italian market)

Location: Stockton-on-Tees (North-East UK)

Our client has 30+ years of experience in providing specific industry analysis for markets around the world. Typical market and financial research are on topics such as acquisition prospects, market trends, competitors etc.

As part of the role, you will be managing national sales activity, planning and delivering sales campaigns for the Italian markets while ensuring a high level of customers’ satisfaction.

  • To manage sales activity to meet agreed budgets and margin targets; monitoring the performance of content, maximizing the conversion of sales leads / enquiries
  • To plan and deliver sales campaign for the Italian market to grow customer base
  • To ensure a high level of satisfaction with the overall customer experience; providing support via telephone and email, delivering product demos as part of the sales process
  • Making informed strategic decisions through effective sales analysis

Key responsibilities (SALES)

  • Responsible for the territory budget, sales and margins
  • Demonstrate a commercial outlook by identifying potential sales opportunities in each interaction, understand customer needs and respond appropriately with relevant information
  • Respond to initial enquiries in a timely manner
  • Proactively follow up existing enquiries to pursue sales
  • Effectively use data to identify customers approaching renewal; proactively contact customers to maintain ongoing renewal and recommend additional products
  • Meet sales target of conversion of enquiries to sales
  • Maximise cross selling opportunities
  • Cultivate effective business relationshop with executive decision makers
  • Monitor pricing deviations and policies
  • Support analysis of market information and competitors’ activities
  • Work closely with the global marketing team and other internal functions

Key responsibilities (MARKETING)

  • Deliver an overall plan of email and mail marketing content for each quarter to meet agreed lead conversation targets
  • Report weekly on agreed KPIs, identifying issues/trends where contingency plans are required to meet budget
  • Explore new partnerships with third parties with the aim of increasing the visibility of company across different channels and audiences
  • Develop promotional ideas and material along with marketing team.
  • Assist Marketing team with press in the markets
  • Provide recommendations for future marketing activity

Key responsibilities (CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE)

  • Analysing customer feedback; identifying and feeding back areas which need to be addressed to improve customer experience
  • Ensure that all customers receive an excellent start experience; identify individual needs and suggest the appropriate solution to ensure customers receive the correct

Key responsibilities (DATA AND ANALYSIS )

  • Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis
  • Analyse data to identify sales opportunities
  • Investigate lost sales and customer accounts
  • Track, collate and interpret sales figures
  • Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue

Requirements:

  • Past experience in sales, marketing and account manager roles – 3 years at least
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering sales, financial and customer targets within a B2B environment (interacting with company directors)
  • Experience in a sales lead conversion role
  • Experience of the business information or publishing sector
  • Excellent communication skills both in Italian and English – any additional languages are a plus
  • Customer oriented mindset
  • Ability to analyse data and metrics to inform decisions
  • Sales conversions techniques
