Job Title: Assistant Head Housekeeper / Senior Butler 

Location: London

Salary: £23.000 + benefits*

The purpose of the role is to effectively manage, oversee and successfully lead the Housekeeping/Butlers/Valet departments within this 5 stars luxury hotel, with a very hands on and standards driven approach to the day to day running of both operations.

Main responsibilities:

  1. To ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are achieved throughout the entire hotel including rooms, public areas and back of house areas and guaranteeing effective controls are continuously maintained on a daily basis
  2. To manage all department materials and products whilst monitoring wastage and ensuring stock levels are kept to an acceptable level.
  3. To manage the laundry operations and other relevant suppliers
  4. To communicate effectively with reception and departments alike regarding all housekeeping 
and guest requests, providing the relevant information/data and ensuring the correct follow 
up to guarantee guest satisfaction and a smooth operation
  5. To constantly endeavour to exceed the guest experience by actively and positively monitoring 
all guest relations/interactions and measuring service levels
  6. To effectively ensure all guest requests are fulfilled promptly and that guest profiles are 
monitored and updated regularly in accordance with the hotel policy
  7. To deliver consistently high levels of service excellence and ensure complete satisfaction of 
both internal and external customers
  8. To ensure that the Hotel is kept at all times at the highest levels of cleanliness
  9. To be responsible for the productivity of the housekeeping department to achieve maximum 
  10. To be responsible for the productivity and bills checking of the Valet department to achieve maximum profitability
  11. To adhere to all procedures and standards as laid out in the hotel brand standards manual and Housekeeping Manual
  12. To ensure the Hotel complied with all L.H.W/B.H standards and all staff are properly trained to achieve them
  13. To control linen and guest/cleaning supplies stock – storage and usage
  14. To control guest washing/cleaning supplies stock – storage and usage
  15. To work during the weekends and Bank Holidays when required
  16. Under the supervision of the Head Housekeeper, to prepare and present a weekly rota and forecast
  17. To comply with all performance management procedures and policies under the general guidance of the Human Resources Manager
  18. To supervise daily the quality of work from maids, housekeepers and porters
  19. To personally supervise all TOP’s/VIP rooms
  20. To follow and apply the guest long stay program or other relevant program
  21. Under the guidance of the Head Housekeeper to prepare and present any P.O. needed for 

Key Skills required: 

  • Previous work experience in hotels in a similar capacity – this is compulsory
  • Advanced English language skills
  • Proactive and leadership skills
  • Management skills
